Discover Korean Contemporary Art
Over the past decade, Seoul has emerged as one of the most dynamic centers of contemporary art in Asia. Alongside major international exhibitions, museums, and art fairs, a new generation of Korean artists is gaining increasing attention for work that combines experimentation, refined material sensibility, and a distinctive visual language shaped by Korea’s cultural and historical context.
Based in Seoul, E.N. Gallery works closely with Korean artists through exhibitions, collaborations, and curatorial projects. The gallery’s program focuses on artists whose practices reflect the diversity of contemporary Korean art today, ranging from abstraction and material exploration to conceptual and multidisciplinary approaches.
As part of our international program, we are introducing a selection of Korean artists to collectors in Canada. These artists represent different perspectives within the Korean art scene while sharing a commitment to strong visual language and thoughtful artistic practice.

Joyce Jinn
Joyce Jinn’s recent series focuses on children discovering the world around them. Whether observing a bird, sunlight on a wall, or an unfamiliar object, each scene captures the quiet wonder and curiosity that shape childhood.
Her paintings invite viewers to see the world through a child’s perspective—where everyday moments become small adventures and simple questions open the door to deeper reflection.
-
Jo Eun A
Jo Eun A’s series Sweet Landscape combines two recurring motifs—desserts and imagined landscapes—to evoke moments of comfort and emotional escape. While desserts symbolize small joys in everyday life, her serene landscapes reflect a longing for peace and nature within modern urban environments.
Working with traditional Korean materials such as mulberry paper, white clay, and East Asian ink, she builds layered surfaces that create soft, dreamlike scenes where nature and delicate architectural forms coexist with playful dessert imagery.
-
Kyenam
Kyenam’s artistic journey began while traveling across Latin America, where she sketched landscapes encountered along the way. These experiences shaped her exploration of the relationship between nature and the inner self.
Her paintings often feature the symbolic figure of the llama, representing a mediator between humans and nature and a guide toward inner reflection. Through layered acrylic landscapes and balanced color compositions, she creates calm, meditative scenes.
-
Kim Pearl
Kim Pearl works with traditional Korean ink and pigments on paper, often using unconventional tools such as her hands, wire, or wooden chopsticks to create rich textures and lively compositions.
Her work draws inspiration from her experiences as a mother, exploring the emotional world shared between parents and children. Through cheerful, fairy-tale-like imagery, she captures both the tenderness and complexity of family life.
-
Kim Seongyun
Kim Seongyun’s paintings explore quiet moments in nature, often illuminated by moonlight or scattered golden light drifting through forests. His work invites contemplation, encouraging viewers to pause and reconnect with the natural world.
Using real leaves as natural stamps, he presses their forms onto the canvas to create layered forests where each imprint becomes a symbolic tree.
-
Lim Seung Hyun
With more than three decades of artistic practice, Lim Seung Hyun creates gentle, story-like paintings that capture everyday moments of happiness and reflection. His minimal compositions and soft visual language evoke the warmth of illustrated narratives.
